As I went a walking
One morning in spring
I met with some travelers
On an old country lane
One was an old man
The second a maid
The third was a young boy
who smiled as he said
"With the wind in the willows
The birds in the sky
There's a bright sun to warm us
wherever we lie...
We have bread and fishes
and a jug of red wine
To share on our journey
with all of mankind."
So I asked them to tell me
their name and their race
So I could remember each
smile on their face
"Our name, they mean nothing...
They change throughout time
So come sit beside us
and share in our wine"
"With the wind in the willows
The birds in the sky
There's a bright sun to warm us
wherever we lie...
We have bread and fishes
and a jug of red wine
To share on our journey
with all of mankind."
So I sat down beside them
With flowers all around
We et from a mantle
Spread out on the ground
They told me of prophets
And peoples and kings
And all of the one god
that knows everything
"We're traveling to Glaston
Over England's gren lanes
To hear of men's troubles
To hear of their pains
We travel the wide world
Over land and the sea
To tell all the people
How they can be free..."
"With the wind in the willows
The birds in the sky
There's a bright sun to warm us
wherever we lie...
We have bread and fishes
and a jug of red wine
To share on our journey
with all of mankind."
So sadly I left them
On that old country lane
For I knew that I'd never
see them again
One was an old man
The second a maid
The third was a young boy
who smiled as he said...
"With the wind in the willows
The birds in the sky
There's a bright sun to warm us
wherever we lie...
We have bread and fishes
and a jug of red wine
To share on our journey
with all of mankind."
"With the wind in the willows
The birds in the sky
There's a bright sun to warm us
wherever we lie...
We have bread and fishes
and a jug of red wine
To share on our journey
with all of mankind."
All of mankind...
Veter v ivah
Odnazhdy ja poshel proguljat'sja
Rannim utrom vesnoj
I vstretilsja so strannikami
Na staroj tropinke
Odin byl starik
Vtoroj - devushka
Tretij byl molodym mal'chikom
Kotoryj ulybnulsja, i skazal
"S vetrom v ivah
Pticy v nebe
Est' jarkoe solnce, sogrevajuschee nas
vezde, gde by my nahodimsja ...
My imeem hleb i rybu
i kuvshin krasnogo vina
Kotorym my delimsja
so vsem chelovechestvom."
Ja poprosil, chtoby oni nazvali mne
svoi imena i svoju rasu
Ja mog zapomnit' kazhduju
ulybku na ih licah
"Nashi imena, oni ne znachat nichego...
Oni izmenjajutsja v techenie vremeni
Tak prisjad'te vozle nas
I otpejte vina"
"S vetrom v ivah
Pticy v nebe
Est' jarkoe solnce, sogrevajuschee nas
vezde, gde by my nahodimsja ...
My imeem hleb i rybu
i kuvshin krasnogo vina
Kotorym my delimsja
so vsem chelovechestvom."
Ja sel okolo nih
Vokrug vsjo v cvetah
My snjali svoi nakidki i
Razvernuli na zemle
Oni skazali mne pro prorochestva
Pro narody i korolej
I nad vsemi odin bog
kotoryj znaet vse
"My puteshestvuem v Glaston
Po zelenym tropinkam Anglii
Vyslushaja ljudskie problemy
Vyslushaja ih bol'
My puteshestvuem po miru
Po zemle i morju
Rasskazyvaja vsem ljudjam
Kak stat' svobodnymi ..."
"S vetrom v ivah
Pticy v nebe
Est' jarkoe solnce, sogrevajuschee nas
vezde, gde by my nahodimsja ...
My imeem hleb i rybu
i kuvshin krasnogo vina
Kotorym my delimsja
so vsem chelovechestvom."
Tak pechal'no ja ostavil ih
Na toj staroj tropinke
Ja znal, chto ja nikogda
ne uvizhu ih snova
Odin byl starik
Vtoroj - devushka
Tretij byl molodym mal'chikom
Kotoryj ulybnulsja, i skazal:
"S vetrom v ivah
Pticy v nebe
Est' jarkoe solnce, sogrevajuschee nas
vezde, gde by my nahodimsja ...
My imeem hleb i rybu
i kuvshin krasnogo vina

So vsem chelovechestvom...
